Tuesday tip: Coconut oil leaves hair silky, smoothFARGO – I was recently pleased to discover coconut oil, among its many uses, makes a great natural hair mask.
Since I color my hair in addition to blow-drying it and curling it often, it has a tendency to become dry and dull. Hair masks are a great fix but can get expensive.
To use coconut oil as a hair mask, simply scoop out about a teaspoon of room-temperature oil and rub it into your hair. It’s solid at room temperature, and a little bit goes a long way.
Leave the oil in your hair for one to two hours and then shampoo and condition your hair as usual.
Using coconut oil leaves my hair silky and shiny without making it greasy. The results last for several days, even after repeated washings.
