Voyageurs National Park in Minn. reopensINTERNATIONAL FALLS, Minn. – Voyageurs National Park in northern Minnesota is reopening to visitors, now that the federal government shutdown is over.
Visitors can enter public areas and roads while facilities and other public services are reopened.
Voyageurs National Park had been closed since Oct. 1 when the shutdown started. The park reopened Thursday.
All park roads, boat launch ramps, waters and land areas are open as of Thursday morning. The Rainy Lake Visitor Center will reopen today.
