Bison women's basketball picked to finish last in SummitFARGO – North Dakota State’s women’s basketball team has been picked to finish last in the Summit League, according to a preseason poll of the league’s head coaches, sports information directors and media.
The Bison received 74 points in the poll, placing them eighth in the eight-team league. The Bison return one starter from last year’s team that finished with a 10-19 overall record and 6-10 league record.
South Dakota State was picked to win its fifth straight league title with 319 votes followed by Indiana Purdue-Indianapolis (276), South Dakota (224), Indiana Purdue-Fort Wayne (179), Denver (169), Western Illinois (146) and Nebraska-Omaha (77).
