Volunteers sought for Olympic curling trialsFARGO – Scheels Arena is accepting volunteer applications for the 2014 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Curling.
Volunteers are asked to work a minimum of three four-hour shifts during the trials and pay $25.
The fee will help cover volunteer benefits, which will include the following:
• 2014 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Curling volunteer shirt, which is required to be worn during shifts.
• Two vouchers for tickets to one day of the trials, excluding championships.
• Free admission to the opening banquet Nov. 9.
• Beverages and snacks during shifts.
Volunteers are needed to be curling instructors, gate attendants, general runners, hospitality workers, ice crew, merchandising, fan zone attendants, timers and on-ice officials.
