ND areas hit by snow under high wind warningBISMARCK — Parts of southwest and south-central North Dakota hit hard by a winter storm last weekend are under a high wind warning.
The National Weather Service says the strong northwest winds will spread into central North Dakota late Friday afternoon and continue into the night.
Winds of 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph are expected, which could cause downed limbs and power lines and create dangerous conditions for workers cleaning up from the snow.
A wind advisory is in effect for the rest of western and central North Dakota Friday night.
