Contributions - 10/12/13FM area Taco John’s to help United Way
Fargo-Moorhead area Taco John’s restaurants are sponsoring the “Sante Fe for United Way” fundraiser Monday through Oct. 27.
During this time, $1 for every purchase of a Sante Fe Burrito and Sante Fe Bowl will be donated to local United Way chapters.
Husks for Harvest benefits Farm Rescue
BW Insurance, Fargo, held its inaugural Husks for Harvest event on Aug. 21 to raise money and awareness for Farm Rescue.
The event, which featured corn on the cob, a pig roast and door prizes, raised just over $10,000 to help support Farm Rescue.
Credit union raises $1,000 for AFSP
First Community Credit Unions in North Dakota raised $1,000 in the third quarter of 2013 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
The credit union will begin fundraising this month for their fourth quarter charity, the Children’s Miracle Network.
Builder raising funds for cancer research
Heritage Homes, Fargo, has pledged to donate $500 for every new home sold in October to the Edith Sanford Breast Cancer Foundation.
The company’s office building in Fargo will also be illuminated with pink lights during October.
Elements donates to Wounded Warrior
Elements Fitness in Fargo recently hosted a silent auction fundraiser benefiting the Wounded Warrior project.
The event raised more than $2,800 for the project.
Youth group receives donations for programs
The Boys & Girls Club and Youth Commission in Fargo was awarded $600 from the Kiwanis to help fund the purchase of a mobile tennis unit.
The group also received $1,000 from CenturyLink for educational and technology-related programs for the group’s Club Tech curriculum.
