Authorities identify 71-year-old Litchville man killed in one-vehicle rolloverLITCHVILLE, N.D. – Authorities have identified the 71-year-old Litchville man killed when he was thrown from his Corvette as it rolled into a soybean field near here Tuesday afternoon.
According to a news release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Rodney Vaders was westbound on a straight level portion of County Road 38 about 3:30 p.m. when he gradually drifted into the ditch.
The convertible Corvette rotated clockwise and rolled, ejecting Vaders.
He was not wearing a seat belt, the release stated.
Vaders and the car came to rest in a soybean field, the Highway Patrol said.
The accident happened about a half mile north of Litchville, a city of about 170 people 30 miles south of Valley City.
