Official: Bismarck moose appears to have moved on

BISMARCK — The North Dakota Game and Fish Department says a moose that had been wandering around Bismarck for a few days may have left the area.

Assistant wildlife chief Jeb Williams tells the Bismarck Tribune that (http://bit.ly/GBB5gj ) that the spiked bull appeared to have headed north.

Williams says the yearling bull was hanging around a neighborhood on Wednesday but was not causing problems. He says Bismarck police reported the bull had started moving northwest toward the Missouri River later that night and hadn't been seen since.
