Kane, Winnipeg Jets topple Kings in home opener

WINNIPEG, Manitoba – Evander Kane scored twice to lead Winnipeg to a 5-3 win over the Los Angeles Kings in the Jets home opener on Friday night.

Matt Greene, Jeff Carter and Justin Williams scored for the Kings.

Ondrej Pavelec finished with 33 saves for Winnipeg.

Olli Jokinen, Kane’s linemate Devin Setoguchi and Bryan Little also scored for the Jets.
