Collision kills one, injures three south of MoorheadMOORHEAD-- At least one person was killed in a collision between two vehicles about 5 p.m. today south of Moorhead near the intersection of Highway 75 and County Road 8.
According to a Minnesota State Patrol report, a 2003 Dodge Neon was southbound on Highway 75 in the area of 105th Avenue. A 2005 Dodge Caravan was northbound on Highway 75. While going around a curve, the Neon entered into the northbound lane of Highway 75, resulting in a broadside crash, the State Patrol reported.
According to the report:
Three people were ejected from the vehicles.
Allen K. Burcham, 25, of Fargo, suffered a serious injury. It is unknown which vehicle he was in.
Cynthia L. Zink, 52, of Oxbow, N.D., suffered injuries that were not life-threatening. She was the driver of the Dodge van.
Robin D. Olson, 27, of Fargo, suffered injuries that were not life-threatening. She was a passenger in the Neon.
The State Patrol is still investigating the crash to determine who was driving the Neon. Information on the fatality is pending.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
