Name of man hurt in single-car crash releasedMANDAN – The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the name of a West Virginia man injured Saturday in a single-car crash near here.
Sgt. Steven Fischer of the North Dakota Highway Patrol said the Jeep driven by Barry L. Patton, 55, of Charleston, W.Va., was headed north on Highway 1806, or River Road, about two miles north of the Morton County line into Oliver County shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday.
Patton lost control of the vehicle on the gravel roadway, heading into the east ditch of the road, turning over and ejecting the driver.
He was found a short distance away and sustained numerous injuries, said Fischer. He was taken by ambulance to Sanford Hospital in Bismarck.
The crash remains under investigation.
