Child among 4 killed in head-on collision near Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Minn. – Four people including an 11-year-old girl were killed in a head-on collision Friday evening near here.

Jeffrey J. Miller, 22, of Le Center, Travis A. Reak, 24, also of Le Center, Condon Hulgan, 51, of Montgomery, and Mary Urtuzuastegui, 11, of Montgomery, were killed in the crash.

Mark A. Miller, 24, of Le Center, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was flown to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the 1979 Mercedes Miller was driving was eastbound on County Road 26 and Hulgan was westbound in a Ford Explorer when the two vehicles collided.

Minnesota State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Office, the Montgomery Police Department, the Montgomery Fire Department, the North Ambulance, North Aircare and Mayo Aircare.
