‘7 Mindsets’ co-author to present program

The executive education program at North Dakota State University is offering “The 7 Mindsets @ Work with Scott Shickler” from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Holiday Inn, Fargo.

Shickler, co-author of “The 7 Mindsets,” has been featured in The New York Times, CNN, NBC and ABC News, and The Wall Street Journal. He and his team spent three years seeking an answer to the question, “What do the happiest and most successful people in the world have in common?”

Shickler will share the mindsets, how to embrace them in the workplace, and how employees can be more engaged, productive and happier.

Thrivent Financial rep opens new Fargo office

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans representative Hannah Sorensen has opened a new office in the Manchester Building, 112 N. University Drive, Suite 310, Fargo.

Spectrum Marketing acquires BD Promotions

Spectrum Marketing Services, Moorhead, has acquired BD Promotions, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Spectrum began as a small commercial printing facility in Little Falls, Minn. The company offers apparel decoration, graphic design, digital and commercial print solutions, mailing and more at four locations throughout Minnesota and one in the Denver.

Spectrum Marketing Services will operate at the existing BD Promotions site in Sioux Falls. Former BD Promotions owners Kent and Cindi Johnson will continue to work for Spectrum.

Educators invited to TSMA general meeting

Area K-12 administrators and teachers are invited to join Tri-State Manufacturers’ Association general meeting Tuesday.

The meeting will include a tour of a local business, followed by a social and dinner at the Bigwood Event Center in Fergus Falls.

There will be presentations after dinner to educators highlighting resources and programs they can use to develop relationships with the manufacturing community and expose students to modern manufacturing and high tech careers.

Essentia doctors seeing patients at area clinics

Dr. Matthew Whitbeck, an interventional cardiologist, is now seeing patients at the Essentia Health Clinic in Jamestown, N.D., and Dr. Samantha Kapphahn, interventional cardiologist, is also seeing patients at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Clinic, Detroit Lakes, Minn.

Both will continue to care for patients at Essentia’s Heart and Vascular Center, Fargo.

Dr. Amanda Beehler, a dermatologist, is seeing patients at Essentia’s clinic in Detroit Lakes once a week. She also practices at Essentia’s South University Clinic in Fargo.
