Four named to ND firefighters hall of fame

GARRISON, N.D. – The North Dakota Firefighter’s Museum here has announced the 2013 inductees into the North Dakota Firefighters Hall of Fame. The inductees are:

E Allan Berge, Casselton, assistant chief and chief (retired), Casselton Fire Department.

E The late NDFA President (retired) Ed Bickler, Velva, assistant chief and chief (retired), Velva Fire and Rescue Department.

E NDFA President (retired) Alan Runck, Durbin, assistant chief (retired), Casselton Fire Department, North Dakota Extrication Association president (retired), NDFA instructor for state fire school and regional schools.

E Lloyd A. Schopp, Streeter, assistant chief and chief (retired.), Streeter Fire Protection District.

The Hall of Fame induction and banquet will be at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Garrison City Auditorium.

The museum and the NDFA Past Presidents Association will hold the North Dakota Fallen Firefighter’s Memorial Remembrance Ceremony before the banquet to honor all of North Dakota’s fallen firefighters.
