Man found guilty in Duluth stabbing deathDULUTH - A jury on Wednesday found Joshua Lee Littlewolf guilty of second-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of another man last year in Duluth.
Littlewolf, 42, was charged in the death of Joshua Olson, 28, who was found stabbed to death at the Frances Skinner Apartments in downtown Duluth in April 2012.
The jury began its deliberations Wednesday afternoon after the defense rested and both sides presented closing arguments.
In his closing argument, prosecutor Nate Stumme said Littlewolf decided to “condemn and butcher” Olson for comments he made that angered Littlewolf.
“The killing was wholly unjustified and he (Littlewolf) knew it,” Stumme said.
Littlewolf -- who has been representing himself -- said in his closing argument that no witness collaborated Stumme’s theories about what happened in the apartment where Olson died.
As he has on several other days, Littlewolf chose to appear in court Wednesday dressed in orange jail clothing.
Littlewolf is scheduled sentencing for Nov. 1.
