Leith starts legal fund to oppose white supremacist effortBISMARCK – Town leaders in tiny Leith have set up a legal defense fund to oppose an effort to turn it in into a white supremacist community.
City Council member Lee Cook said the town of 24 needs all the help it can get financially and in moral support from other North Dakotans.
He said townspeople have felt alone and vulnerable since a white supremacist bought land in town with plans to take over control of the local government.
Donations are accepted at the Leith Legal Defense Fund at Grant County State Bank in Carson, N.D.
