Power restored to 8.800 Xcel customers in south Fargo

FARGO – Crews have restored power to the more than 8,800 households that were blacked out in south Fargo at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

A spokesman for Xcel Energy said all of the customers had power restored by 6:11 p.m.

According to dispatchers at Red River Regional Dispatch, an underground feeder blew in south Fargo, which caused power outages along major roads including University Drive South and on 13th Avenue South.
