Bismarck breaks ground on new high schoolBISMARCK — Ground has been broken for another high school in Bismarck.
Legacy High is scheduled to open in the fall of 2015. The Bismarck Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/18tB30k ) that officials gathered on Monday to launch construction of the $58 million facility.
Legacy students right now are attending classes at the Career Academy and at Bismarck State College. They are all ninth-graders.
Voters a year ago overwhelmingly approved an $86.5 million bond issue to build the new high school and two elementary schools to deal with crowing problems and anticipated enrollment growth.
