Ceremony to celebrate Otter Rapids openingFARGO – The Red River Zoo will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. today for its newest exhibit, Otter Rapids.
The exhibit is designed to give zoo visitors a feel for what it is like to be a river otter by entering an indoor “otters’ den.” The public will be able to watch otters both on land and swimming underwater.
The zoo will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through the end of September to premiere the new attraction.
The exhibit was designed by the Fargo architectural firm Schultz and Associates. The exhibit was
made possible through a
donation by Bob and Linda Wilm of Harwood, N.D., zoo officials said in a news release.
