Man jailed for breaking into car, resisting arrest

FARGO – Police here arrested a man early Saturday suspected of breaking into a car near the Amtrak station parking lot in downtown Fargo.

An officer noticed someone sitting in a parked silver Ford Taurus. When he approached the vehicle, he was able to identify William Joseph Radcliff, 50, who admitted he didn’t own the car or have permission to operate it.

Radcliff was “combative” and tried to flee while being arrested, police said.

Radcliff was arrested for unlawful entry into a vehicle and resisting officers.

Radcliff, who has no permanent address, is being held in Cass County Jail.
