Cobbers earn split at Pacific Lutheran tourney

PARKLAND, Wash. – Concordia’s Kayla Hampton had 10 kills to help the Cobbers sweep Pacific (Ore.) 25-17, 25-22, 25-20 and pick up its only win at the Pacific Lutheran volleyball tournament Saturday.

Olivia Wangensteen and Kelly Reed each added eight kills during the sweep.

In Concordia’s second match, Samantha North tallied 44 assists and Lucy Capron had 14 kills as the Pacific Lutheran defeated the Cobbers (8-4) 20-25, 25-11, 25-18, 22-25, 15-8.

Wangesteen was the leader for Concordia in Game 2 with 24 digs and 10 kills.

Amy Wooten had seven blocks for the Lutes (4-4).
