Dakotas Red Cross may deploy to ColoradoFARGO – The Dakotas Region of the American Red Cross has been placed on standby to assist with relief efforts in Colorado, where flooding has forced people to evacuate from their homes.
Locally, Emergency Response Vehicles and volunteers able to deploy are preparing to respond.
The Red Cross has set up several shelters across the area, and feeding operations have started for those affected by the flooding. More than 700 people stayed in Red Cross shelters Thursday night.
Red Cross volunteers from the Dakotas Region could be called into service today or Sunday.
