New secondhand store opens on First Avenue North in Moorhead
The store sells gently used apparel and accessories for men, women and teens.
Owner Lisa Lisburg began buying and reselling clothes years ago in order to fund her kids’ participation in school sports. She would find deals at garage sales and thrift stores, and then resell them at consignment stores.
Lisburg found she had a talent and passion for the trade, so she decided to open her own store with her husband, Rod.
In-store credit is available to customers who bring in brand-name merchandise from retailers such as Coach, Gap, American Eagle, Hollister, Harley Davidson, Miss Me jeans and more.
Donations are also welcome. Anything not selected for resale will be donated to area nonprofit organizations.
Lisburg continues to stock a lot of the inventory herself.
“It’s kind of a thrill to go out and find things,” she said.
The store shares a parking lot with Lindsay EcoWater. Lisburg said they plan to expand Clothes Junkie east toward the lot once Lindsay EcoWater completes its own expansion to the north.
When more room is available, the couple hope to sell merchandise beyond clothing, such as refurbished furniture and antiques.
