Neighbors: Osa's overgrown plants

That’s no bush in the picture sent to Neighbors. It’s a tomato plant. A huge tomato plant.

It was grown this summer by Osa Overland, who lives in Pioneer Manor, Fargo.

As you can see, the plant is almost as tall as she is.

The other plant, incidentally, is a green pepper plant.

This photo and story was sent in by Bruce Brovold, Fargo, who took the picture, and who says Osa is “a very kind and dear lady” whom he has adopted as his second mom.

Osa has no family in the U.S. But she has nieces in Denmark, Austria and Liechtenstein, and she is sending them Bruce’s photo of her and her tomato plant.

Bruce also says that Osa is a baker, and one of the baked items she turns out is a cinnamon bread called “Friendship Bread.”

“She always brings me some,” Bruce says, “and it is soooooo good!”
