Weather Service issues flood watchGRAND FORKS – The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch as a result of rains expected later tonight and early Monday.
According to the National Weather Service site, www.crh.noaa.gov, a “potent storm system” could bring 1 to 3 inches of rain. The storms could include damaging winds and large hail in the southern Red River Valley and into west-central Minnesota. Scattered showers are expected to roll into the Red River Valley tomorrow morning.
The site states there is a chance for more storms Monday night into Tuesday before cooler air moves in.
