Temperatures in the 90s are far more common in July and August than at any other time of the year. But a 90-degree day later in the year can be expected from time to time.

In fact, there are a few instances of 100-degree days in September. The latest was 101 on Sept. 22, 1936. The latest 90-degree day on record was 90 degrees recorded on Oct. 17, 1910. The latest 80-degree day in the record book is Oct. 25, 1989.

Seventy-degree weather has occurred no later than the 73 degrees recorded Nov. 17, 1953. The latest 60-degree day was on Dec. 6, 1965. Temperatures of at least 50 degrees have occurred in every month of the year in Fargo-Moorhead.
