West Fargo crash injures motorcyclistWEST FARGO – A two-vehicle crash in West Fargo early Tuesday sent the driver of a motorcycle to the hospital.
The incident happened just before 7 a.m. at the intersection of 31st Avenue and Veterans Boulevard, according to West Fargo Police Sgt. Jason Dura.
Dura said that at the time of the crash, the driver of the motorcycle, Christopher McCrackin, 23, of Fargo, was southbound on Veterans Boulevard in the left-hand lane and there was a vehicle next to him traveling southbound in the right-hand lane.
As the vehicles approached 31st Avenue, the vehicle in the right-hand lane took a right turn onto 31st Avenue and began heading west.
Meanwhile, an SUV that was headed eastbound on 31st Avenue started up from a stop sign and entered the intersection, forcing McCrackin to brake hard and slide his bike under the SUV, according to Dura.
Dura said McCrackin, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to a local hospital with some broken bones and a head injury.
His condition was not available.
The driver of the SUV, identified as Casey Davidson, 29, of West Fargo, was uninjured and cited for failure to yield, Dura said.
