Hires and promotions - 08/31/13Eide Bailly promotes 4 to management
Eide Bailly, Fargo, a regional certified public accounting and business advisory firm, has promoted Reid Mattson, Brent Roeder, Elise Siverson and Kevin Teigen to managers.
Mattson has a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from North Dakota State University and has been with the firm since 2008.
Roeder has been with the firm since 2007 and he has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.
Siverson has been with the firm since 2009. She graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Teigen joined the firm in 2008 and has a master’s degree in business administration from NDSU.
M.J. Capelli promotes 3 to management
M.J. Capelli has promoted Jen Ekre to manager of the Moorhead salon, Samantha Leno to assistant manager of the salon on 19th Ave North in Fargo, and Jessica Hilde was named assistant manager of the salon in the TJ Maxx Plaza in Fargo.
Ekre has been with M.J. Capelli since 2003, Leno joined the company in 2005 and Hilde has been with M.J. Capelli since 2008.
Northern Lights hires admin. assistant
Northern Lights USA, Fargo, has hired Melissa Tucker as an administrative assistant to help develop the company’s online store and national accounts.
Tucker has experience in the retail sector and previously worked as an account manager and customer service associate.
Voeller added to staff at Sublime Aesthetic
Sublime Aesthetic Professionals in West Fargo has added Stacey Voeller to its staff as a master licensed aesthetician.
Voeller is a former Miss North Dakota and has extensive knowledge of makeup selection and application. She is also experienced in performing facials, hydrafacials, waxing, sugaring, eyelash tinting and eyelash extensions.
Park Christian School hires office manager
Park Christian School, Moorhead, has hired Anne Davis as office manager/administrative assistant.
She was previously the administrative assistant to Pastor Gary Siefers at Bethel Church in Fargo for the past four years.
She attended Duluth (Minn.) Business University and Kingwood (Texas) College.
She has 15 years of office management and administrative experience.
First Community CU hires Wickham
First Community Credit Union of Fargo has hired Laura Wickham as a member service representative coordinator. Wickham is originally from Barney, N.D., and she earned an associate’s degree in business management from the North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton.
She has worked in financial services for over 13 years. She previously worked at Mid Minnesota Federal Credit Union as assistant branch manager.
She will be working at the branch at 1801 45th St. S., and will then work in the new branch building that is scheduled to open early this fall just to the south of the existing location.
McGruder joins AE2S as engineer in training
Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services has hired Weston McGruder as an engineer in training in the firm’s Moorhead office.
He will be part of the firm’s water group and will be assisting with the Fargo Membrane Water Treatment Plant project and other engineering design, site layout and resident project representative services.
Originally from Jamestown, N.D., he has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from North Dakota State University and is currently pursuing a professional engineering license.
Konickson joins Chamber staff
Tracy Konickson has joined the staff of the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber as membership sales manager.
Konickson is a graduate of Concordia College and previously worked for WDAY selling advertising on WDAY-TV, WDAY AM 970 and Forum Internet Properties.
Konickson has been active in The Chamber as a member of the Young Professionals Network and the public relations ambassador committee, where she served for almost 10 years and was named ambassador of the year in 2007.
She is also a 2008 graduate of The Chamber’s Leadership Fargo Moorhead West Fargo program.
Pediatrician, pathologist join Essentia Health
Dr. Jennifer Mullally, a pediatrician, has joined Essentia Health’s South University Clinic, and Dr. Rebecca Ziegler has joined the pathology department at Essentia Health Hospital, both in Fargo.
Mullally was a dietitian before earning a medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Grand Forks. She served her pediatrics residency at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education, Rochester, Minn.
Ziegler specializes in dermatopathology and she earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School, Minneapolis. She served a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology and a fellowship in dermatopathology at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.
American Crystal adds to packaging staff
Lois Hirchert, Janinne Juve and Jeff May have joined American Crystal Sugar Co.’s Moorhead facility as assistant packaging and warehouse supervisors.
Hirchert has over 35 years of experience with the company, most recently serving as a packaging foreman.
Juve joins the company with over 20 years of management experience. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
May joined American Crystal in 2012 with a background as a small business owner.
Transportation engineer joins Houston in Fargo
Trent Berg has joined Houston Engineering as a transportation engineer in the company’s Fargo office.
Berg most recently worked for R&R Contracting and EAPC, both in Grand Forks, where he designed industrial, civil and structural projects.
He is originally from Edmore, N.D., and he graduated from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
RLE Group hires Scholl as staff accountant
The RLE Group, Fargo, has hired Heather Scholl as a staff accountant.
She has over 15 years of accounting experience in various industries including natural gas, manufacturing, retail and legal.
Scholl received her accounting certificate from the College of St. Catherine’s, St. Paul, Minn.
Wanzek Construction hires 3, promotes 1
Wanzek Construction, Fargo, has hired Archie Gilliss as director of environmental safety and health and Jake Knaack and Rick Holweger as human resource recruiters/generalists. The company has also promoted Brandi Bader to benefits administrator.
Gilliss is a certified safety professional with extensive experience in the safety industry. He has developed and managed safety programs in many companies and is an OSHA certified instructor and accredited safety auditor. He has a master’s degree in management from the University of Mary and a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from Valley City (N.D.) State University.
Knaack has five years of human resources experience. He has an associate’s degree in human resources from Aaker’s Business College and a bachelor’s degree in business management from Rasmussen College.
Holweger has over 12 years of experience in the construction field and previously worked as a project coordinator at Tradesmen International.
Bader joined Wanzek as human resources administer and graduated from North Dakota State University with a business management degree.
Airport planner hired in KLJ’s Fargo office
KLJ, a multi-disciplinary engineering and planning firm, has hired Marcus Watson as an airport planner in the Fargo office.
He has 10 years of experience in the aviation industry with more than six years of experience in aviation planning, airport master planning and airport layout plans.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and aviation management from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.
He is a member of the American Association of Airport Executives and a Federal Aviation Administration licensed commercial pilot.
Odney hires strategic engagement director
Rick Collin has joined Odney as director of the strategic engagement team. Odney is a full-service marketing, advertising and public relations agency with offices throughout North Dakota and in Idaho.
Collin has more than 30 years of experience in news reporting, public relations, media relations and communications. He has worked as a radio news reporter, communications director for North Dakota Gov. Ed Schafer, communications and education director for the State Historical Society of North Dakota, deputy state director for U.S. Rep. Rick Berg, and most recently as communications and outreach director for the State Historical Society of North Dakota Foundation.
He is on the adjunct faculty at University of Mary, where he teaches American history and political science. Collin earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in space studies from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.
First State Bank of ND appoints two, hires one
First State Bank of North Dakota has appointed Greg Stemen as president of its LaMoure, N.D., branch and Derek Jungels as president of its Lisbon, N.D., branch. Carrie Hagen has been hired as controller at the bank in Casselton, N.D.
Stemen was previously president of the Marion, N.D., branch. Prior to joining FSBND, he was a lending officer at another bank, worked for a medical facility in Bismarck and was the head men’s basketball coach for eight years at Southwest Minnesota State University, Marshall. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education from Valley City (N.D.) State University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Southwest Minnesota State University. He also does broadcast analysis for the Midco Sports Network.
Jungels joined FSBND in 2005 as president in Marion, N.D. He has been serving as president of the LaMoure, N.D. branch since 2006. Jungels has more than 13 years of experience in rural banking and lending. He was previously with First National Bank in Lisbon where he was vice president and later branch manager. Prior to that he worked as the assistant sports information director at Jamestown (N.D.) College and was a customer service representative and teller at Stutsman County State Bank, Jamestown. He earned a bachelor’s degree in management information systems and business administration, with a concentration in financial planning, as well as physical education with an emphasis in coaching, from Jamestown College.
Hagen has more than 10 years of accounting and financial experience. Most recently she was a business analyst at Tharaldson Investments, Casselton, and was controller at Compellent Technologies, Eden Prairie, Minn. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from North Dakota State University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
Callaway joins TMI Hospitality
TMI Hospitality, Fargo, has hired Tom Callaway as a telecommunications install technician.
Callaway was previously a field supervisor and senior field technician for Dish Network in Harrisburg, Pa., and a communications technician IV for Comcast in Delaware County, Pa.
