NamedroppersUND NEWS: University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, has awarded Honors Program partial tuition waivers to the following area students: David Evers, son of Andrine Evers, Wahpeton, N.D.; Michael Storandt, son of Chip and Dawn Storandt, Moorhead; Chase Johnson, son pf Leith and Carol Johnson, and Erika Moderow, daughter of Mark and Teresa Moderow, all Fargo. The Honors Program serves motivated, accomplished students by nurturing creativity, critical thinking and scholarship beyond the usual academic frameworks. Tuition waivers are awarded to select incoming students who must enroll in at least one Honors class and participate in Honors service projects each semester.
SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS: Lisa Hage of Moorhead has been awarded $529 deposit to a College SAVE account through North Dakota’s College SAVE plan, a state-sponsored, tax-advantaged 529 college savings plan administered by Bank of North Dakota. The award was part of promotions held at the Red River Zoo and the North Dakota State Fair in Minot, N.D.
INTERNS AND PAGES: JDP Automation, Moorhead, has hired Charles Shorma, Moorhead, as a project development engineering intern. He is currently an industrial engineering and management student at North Dakota State University.
