52-year-old Hazen killed after driving off I-94, hitting Dickinson houseDICKINSON, N.D. - A 52-year-old Hazen man is dead after the pickup he was operating veered off Interstate 94 and crashed into a Dickinson home Thursday morning, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Patrol Sgt. Dan Haugen said the driver of a white Ford pickup traveling west near the interstate's Exit 64 east of Dickinson lost control of his vehicle for unknown reasons, veered into the eastbound lanes of the freeway, ran up an embankment and into the basement of a home at 1189 12th Street East.
Haugen said Dickinson Fire Department personnel made entry into the home shortly after the crash and found the sole occupant of the pickup without a pulse. The unidentified man’s body was then taken to Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson.
Haugen said the man’s identity would likely be released Friday morning following notification of the man’s relatives.
An adult female and a child were present in the home at the time of the accident, though they were not injured, Haugen said
