Driver dead after pickup hits homeDICKINSON, N.D. – A 52-year-old Hazen man was found dead after the pickup he was driving veered off Interstate 94 and crashed into a Dickinson home Thursday morning, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said.
Patrol Sgt. Dan Haugen said the driver of a Ford pickup traveling west near the interstate’s Exit 64 east of Dickinson lost control for unknown reasons, veered into the eastbound lanes of the freeway, ran up an embankment and into the basement of a home.
Haugen said Dickinson Fire Department personnel found the sole occupant of the pickup without a pulse. The man’s body was taken to Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson.
Haugen said the man’s identity would likely be released this morning after notification of relatives.
A woman and a child in the home at the time of the accident were not injured, Haugen said.
