NSAA baseball teams to play in the fall

VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The North Star Athletic Association will allow baseball teams to play games this fall that will count to their overall record for the 2014 season.

The plan was approved this week for the newly formed conference that includes Valley City State, Dakota State, Mayville State, Presentation College and the University of Jamestown.

NAIA teams are allowed to play up to 55 games in a season. But because of the short springs in North Dakota and South Dakota, area NAIA teams rarely near that number.
