Fire eats through wall of Fargo mobile homeFARGO – A house fire at a mobile home court here on Monday burned a hole through the home’s wall to the outside, according to Fargo firefighters who responded to the scene.
The house’s occupant reported the fire at 749 Countryside Trailer Court S. at 2:02 p.m., according to a release from Fargo fire battalion Chief Dane Carley. The occupant told dispatchers she saw sparks near the microwave, but didn’t know if there was a fire.
When the first fire crews arrived, they reported light smoke, but no fire, the release stated. After going inside, crews found a fire behind the stove. They then discovered a fire in the wall that had burned to the outside and underside of the home.
The fire was contained to a small area because of the early call to 911, the release stated. There is no damage estimate available yet.
The Fire Department responded with 12 firefighters on three engines, one truck and one command vehicle. The Salvation Army provided assistance. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
