Public’s help sought in fatal hit and run

SAUK CENTRE, Minn. – The Minnesota State Patrol is asking for the public’s help in locating the driver of a car involved in a traffic fatality that occurred north of Sauk Centre on Saturday night.

According to the State Patrol:

A male passenger riding on a motorcycle that was northbound on Highway 71 just north of Sauk Centre fell off the bike near the entrance to the Grey Stone Golf Course.

The male was then struck by a passing car traveling northbound on Highway 71.

The driver did not stop.

The State Patrol believes the suspect vehicle suffered damage to the front bumper.

Debris at the scene suggests the vehicle may have been a Buick Regal.
