Missouri man sentenced in Grand Forks bank robberyGRAND FORKS — A Missouri man has been sentenced to nine years in prison for holding up a Grand Forks bank at gunpoint.
Johnny Patrom is charged in federal court with bank robbery by force or violence. He pleaded guilty earlier this week.
The incident happened in July 2012. Authorities say Patrom entered Bank Forward, displayed a handgun and demanded money. He allegedly got away with about $9,000.
Patrom's wife, Amanda, is also charged in the case. She allegedly entered the bank on two separate occasions prior to the robbery and told her husband how many employees were working.
A preliminary hearing for Amanda Patrom is set for Sept. 5.
