Man arrested after home break-in attempt in AbercrombieABERCROMBIE, N.D. – A St. Paul man was arrested after trying to break into a home here late Friday night.
The man was attempting to get into a residence around 11:30 p.m. Friday, according to a release from the Richland County Sheriff’s Office. Inside, a mother and her two adult daughters heard the man trying to break in and ran from the residence using the back door.
When the first responding officer arrived on scene, the suspect was still on the front patio area trying to gain entry.
He was arrested on suspicion of burglary and is being held at the Richland County Jail. The incident is still under investigation, according to the release.
