NDSU homecoming parade route to changeFARGO – Downtown Fargo will be home to a parade of green and gold as North Dakota State University takes a more community-focused approach to this year’s homecoming festivities.
University officials announced Tuesday that the homecoming parade will return to Broadway – where it was held from 1922 to 1982 – as part of a campus and community partnership.
Homecoming was expanded this year to celebrate NDSU’s status as a Top 100 research university as well as the school’s successful athletics teams. The parade is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Oct. 11 and will run through Broadway. The exact parade route is not available. There will be a community pep fest after the parade at 7 p.m. outside the Fargo Civic Center.
Businesses and community members have until Sept. 20 to submit an entry form for the parade. More information can be found online at: www.ndsu.edu/
