Contributions - 08/17/13Children’s language center awarded grant
The Scottish Rite Children’s Language Disorder Center, Fargo, has received a $1,000 matching grant from Dakota Medical Foundation, Fargo.
The funds will support the center’s program of providing speech and communication therapy to Fargo-Moorhead metro area children ages 2 to 7.
Gate City Bank donates to Moorhead ministry
Lost and Found Ministry, Moorhead, has received a $1,000 donation from Gate City Bank.
The donation will be used for the ministry’s scholarship gap fund for those seeking assistance with counseling or interventions.
Dental access project receives Bremer grant
The Red River Valley Dental Access Project, Moorhead, was awarded a $16,000 grant from the Otto Bremer Foundation to support its Urgent Care Walk-In Dental Clinic.
The grant will also help provide funding for a dental director at the clinic.
Starion sends care packages to troops
Starion Financial employees in North Dakota donated more than $1,000 worth of food and money to purchase care packages to send to deployed soldiers.
Packages were sent to five different deployed troops, including troops of Starion employees’ family members.
WF Fire Dept. awarded funds from Monsanto
The West Fargo Fire Department has been awarded $15,723 as part of the Monsanto Fund’s 2013 Site Grant initiative.
The fire department will use the funds for firefighter training at Texas A&M and to purchase new communication equipment.
The Monsanto Fund is the philanthropic arm of the Monsanto Co., and is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the communities where farmers and Monsanto Co. employees live and work.
Bremer awards $50K to Boys & Girls Club
The Otto Bremer Foundation has awarded $50,000 to the Boys & Girls Club, Fargo.
As a result of the funding, the club can increase the number of registered members and programs offered, hire additional staff and continue to provide transportation and healthy snacks to the youth attending the club.
