Style Profile: College student showcases an edgy vibe

FARGO – Jill Ann Davis has fearless style. The 22-year-old North Dakota State University student isn’t afraid to wear what she likes.

The day I spotted Davis working at LOT 2029, she was wearing black and white striped shorts, a long fringy tank, short booties and a feminine pearl necklace.

Davis, who’s from Bismarck, explained that she buys whatever catches her eye. I liked her confidence and her spunky look.

Describe your style. My style is kind of all over the charts. It’s feminine yet edgy.

What are you wearing today? Shorts from LOT 2029, booties from Target, and my top is by Brandy Melville.

Who are your style icons? Rachel Zoe and Olivia Palermo.

Where do you shop? LOT 2029, Piperlime, Forever 21 and Brandy Melville.

What’s one thing in your closet that’d you’d never give up? My skinnies! I love skinny jeans by 7 For All Mankind.

How many tattoos do you have? Seven, and they’re my favorite accessories.

You’re studying apparel, retail merchandising and design. What’s your plan after graduation? I want to move to the West Coast and do styling.

What are your favorite trends for summer and fall? For summer, definitely crop tops. For fall, military-style anoraks and big cable-knit sweaters and cardigans.
