Poker bracelet fetches $65,725 in online auction

The winner of the 2006 World Series of Poker no longer has a prized possession of the tournament.

Jamie Gold's bracelet, the one that came with the WSOP Main Event title, sold at action for $65,725, according to a story on cardplayer.com.

The piece contains more than seven carats of diamond and 120 grams of white and yellow gold, the listing said.

Gold won more than $12 million in the tournament, besting 8,772 players.

The cardplayer.com story didn't identify why Gold's bracelet was sold.

"It's a legal issue that I can't talk about," Gold said. "I would never do that. It's really unfortunate what has been happening."

Gold said he will not see the proceeds from the auction.
