Fargo man pleads guilty to theft at adult bookstoreFARGO – The Fargo man arrested for allegedly shoplifting an artificial vagina from a downtown store here has pleaded guilty in that and one other shoplifting case.
Christopher Wiener, 26, pleaded guilty Thursday in Cass County District Court to one count of misdemeanor Class A theft of property after he was accused of shoplifting a $550 camera from Scheels sporting goods store in Fargo.
Wiener was sentenced to 30 days in jail, with credit for 30 days served.
He also pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, both Class C felonies, following an accusation that jail staff found both on him after he was arrested for shoplifting an artificial vagina from the Romantix bookstore in downtown Fargo.
At the time, Wiener told the arresting officer that he had stolen the toy because a woman walked into the store, and he was embarrassed by his inter-est in it.
Wiener was sentenced on those charges to five days in jail and one year of supervised probation.
