Style Profile: 17-year-old goes for easy chic
The 17-year-old senior at Fargo South High School has a modern preppy style that emulates J.Crew’s easy-chic aesthetic.
I chatted with Bintliff in Island Park and learned that she often styles her friends’ outfits and hopes to work in fashion someday.
Describe your style. My style is generally preppy, but I like to experiment with different styles.
What are you wearing today? Pants from H&M, top and necklace from Forever 21, snakeskin heels from JustFab.com, a Zodiac watch and my grandma’s rings.
Who are your style icons? My parents, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and Audrey Hepburn.
Who are your favorite designers? Michael Kors, Alexander McQueen and Elie Saab.
Where do you get style inspiration? I’m inspired by movies like “The Devil Wears Prada” and “Sabrina.”
I also like fashion magazines like Vogue and Glamour. I go to Barnes & Noble and read them all!
Where do you shop? Target, H&M, Ann Taylor Loft, Forever 21 and smaller boutiques.
What’s your favorite thing in your closet? The chambray shirt I’m wearing today.
What’s your dream job? My ultimate career goal is to be a fashion stylist. I’d also like to be a makeup artist or model.
I plan to go to college for business and marketing.
What fall trends are you looking forward to? Leather and anything forest green. I’m also excited to wear big sweaters with dresses and jeans.
