Hearing delayed on proposed ND wind farmBISMARCK — A public hearing on a proposed $350 million wind farm north of Hettinger in southwestern North Dakota has been delayed until next month.
The state Public Service Commission was to hold the hearing Friday. Members postponed it because Adams County hasn't approved the project yet and because Thunder Spirit Wind didn't meet a deadline for filing a map with the PSC showing the location of the 75 proposed wind turbines.
The wind farm would pay $875,000 in annual leases to landowners and $650,000 annually in property taxes to the county.
