MSU-Mankato football slated to win NSIC, while MSUM picked for 15th

BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Minnesota State-Mankato has been picked by league coaches as the overall preseason favorite for the upcoming Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference football season.

Mankato received 13 first-place votes and 223 points – 16 more than second-place Minnesota-Duluth. As a result, Mankato was picked to win the North Division while UMD was picked to win the South Division.

Minnesota State Moorhead was picked 15th overall out of 16 teams and was tied with Minnesota-Crookston to finish last in the North Division.
