Former NFL QB Ainge to speak at ShareHouse eventFARGO – Erik Ainge, former NFL quarterback with the New York Jets, will share his story of recovery from substance addiction as a guest speaker at the ShareHouse Jeans and Jersey banquet scheduled for Aug. 28 at the Ramada Plaza Suites.
Ainge, the nephew of former NBA standout Danny Ainge, became addicted to pain killers that he was taking for injuries sustained while he was a quarterback at the University of Tennessee. His promising NFL career was plagued by injuries and substance abuse issues.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with an outdoors tailgating social followed by a dinner, auction and Ainge’s appearance.
