Montana man arrested after apartment residents report drunken trespasser

FARGO – A Montana man was arrested early today after he reportedly made surprise wake-up calls to several apartment dwellers.

According to Fargo police Lt. Joel Vettel:

Officers were called to the 3400 block of Fiechtner Drive about 1:20 a.m. after a woman reported that a man pounded on her car after she refused him a ride.

When officers arrived, they were approached by a man who said he had awakened in his nearby apartment and found an extremely intoxicated man standing near him.

He said when he asked the man what he was doing he left.

Vettel said it appeared the apartment door had not been locked.

Vettel said the same intruder is believed to have broken down the door of a nearby apartment that was occupied by three adults and three children.

The intruder left after breaking down the door.

Vettel said based on a description from witnesses, officers arrested Michael J. Diserly, 18, who gave his address as Poplar, Mont.

Vettel said Diserly faces charges of criminal trespass.
