Weather Talk: Don’t worry; there will be some hot days in AugustCool to mild weather since July 20 has many people wondering if the hot days of summer have passed. Today, it is mild, and the forecast is for the mild days to continue this week.
However, our weather has been swinging from cool to hot all summer. June and July have scored near-average monthly temperatures despite periods of much-above and much-below average weather.
So even though August will likely begin with a continuation of the cool weather, it is likely to warm up again at some point, probably around the middle of the month.
So far in 2013, Fargo-Moorhead has recorded seven days in the 90s; one in May and six in July; and it is likely there will be more.
When Fargo schools start classes on Aug. 21 this year, there will likely be some very hot weather to contend with.
