Ben Anderson files for Moorhead's 4th Ward council seat

MOORHEAD – Ben Anderson, 33, filed today for election to Moorhead’s 4th Ward.

Anderson, a regional director for the University of Minnesota Extension, grew up on a small grains and sugar beet farm in Stephen.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul and was the former executive director of the Thief River Falls Chamber of Commerce.

Anderson was also previously administrator of the Rural Business-Cooperative Service at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the subcommittee staff director at the U.S. House Committee on Agriculture and legislative assistant to former U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman, R-Minn.

“My public service know-how will be beneficial to the city of Moorhead and its residents,” Anderson said in a news release.
