Grand Forks man arrested after assault

GRAND FORKS – A Grand Forks man was arrested Sunday after a fight in downtown Grand Forks.

Todd Lillemoe, 53, was charged with robbery and aggravated assault after the incident, which occurred in a parking lot in the vicinity of South Fifth Street and Belmont Road, according to a news release from Grand Forks Police Department.

Police said when they responded to a report of a fight at about 5:30 p.m., they found a 21-year-old Grand Forks man had been injured when the suspect allegedly banged his head against a car and then pushed him to the ground.

The victim suffered minor injuries but declined medical treatment, according to the report.

The suspect took a wallet and key from the victim.

Lillemoe was jailed at Grand Forks County Correctional Center.
