Stolen Bismarck vehicle located in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, N.D. - Police arrested two individuals Sunday after locating a stolen vehicle in Jamestown.

Jamestown's Law Enforcement Center received a call from North Dakota State Radio in Bismarck at 1:04 p.m. Sunday about a vehicle stolen from a Bismarck woman that was believed to be in Jamestown, said Lt. Bruce Judd of the Jamestown Police Department.

The vehicle was being tracked with its OnStar security system, Judd said.

When officers reached the first supposed Jamestown location of the vehicle, it had moved, Judd said. Eventually they found it on First Avenue, near Hugo's, he said.

Police arrested the male and female in the vehicle for possession of stolen property, Judd said.

"There was no resistance," he said.

The vehicle was returned to its owner safely, Judd said.

The incident is still under investigation.

There was no other information on the incident available as of Sunday evening.
